Mechanical Engineer

Job Description:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building HVAC and plumbing systems. Typical work may include:

  • Close coordination and collaboration with different design members within the company as well as architects, owners, and facilities staff outside the company.
  • Under the direction of a senior engineer, assist in initial phase concept planning and review of system options.
  • Perform HVAC and plumbing load calculations using applicable computer software.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
  • Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP.
  • Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

Successful candidates for the Mechanical Engineer role must have knowledge of applicable codes and standards within the respective fields, as well as the desire to learn and the drive to succeed.

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in HVAC or plumbing design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Revit MEP experience is a plus.
  • PE license is also a plus.

Electrical Engineer

  • Perform power and lighting load calculations using applicable computer software.
  • Perform selective coordination, short circuit, and arc fault calculations using SKM software.
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
  • Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP.
  • Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role must have knowledge of applicable codes and standards within the respective fields, as well as a desire to learn, and a drive to succeed.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2-5 years' experience in electrical design.

Our Home Base

We’re proud to operate out of class A office space in Latham, NY within the beautiful British American office park, located in the heart of the capital district with easy parking and commuting for our staff.  We enjoy endless restaurants, shops, and amenities within minutes from the office, plus a wooded walking trail and nearby parks along the Mohawk River for those that like to step away for a peaceful lunch break.
